« The schoolhouse building was just enough for a quick trip to Big Bend National Park. No frills, but adequate housing with a comfy bed to rest your head at night. The outdoor porches were nice with beautiful rocky surroundings! Definitely would have used the firepit if there wasn't a burn ban in effect. Super easy check-in and check-out. Wish we were a little closer to the park to save commuting time. »

« Overall, we had a really nice stay! The room was big. The bed was comfortable. The general grounds were really neat. We enjoyed walking around and looking at the other rooms. There were some rather loud guests hanging out on their porch many rooms away which was a little annoying but the rooms itself were pretty soundproof/quiet. You couldn’t really hear noise from other rooms/outside when you were in your room. We had two small issues. One, the towels were wet when we checked in and had hairs...

« It has a decent kitchen, couch, and TV. Very small inside, it's just a bunkhouse, but the price is probably good for the area.The bunk bed was very wobbly and swayed anytime someone moved. Also, there was no telescope and the mounts haven't been used in a long while.Otherwise, it was quiet and warm, allowed us to make our own food, and was close to town and BBNP. »

« Cabin was precisely as described. The 360 views from the property are amazing! Outdoor shower is a good touch. The cabin is about as close as you can get to camping without really camping. LOL. Justin was great and extremely responsive to questions. This was a great base camp for us as we hiked Big Ben all week. Property is really close to the park, restaurants and grocery store…Overall, great experience and we will be back soon!! »
