« The location is isolated and quite which was nice but the roads around it seemed a bit dangerous at night. Lived being able to visit with the horses and the bit of walking around that was available. The check in process was not clear and initial communication was not there. I didn't know if or how to check in until a couple hours after the checkin time. Afterward communication was fine. »

« We stayed at the property for 10 days and absolutely loved it. There is a sense of peace and serenity that overwhelms you as you sit in the house and watch the deer wander by in the morning. My wife didn't want to leave! While technically a "Tiny House", we found it to be very comfortable and well designed. We even hosted Christmas Eve dinner for 8 guests (we ate outside at two table from the property) and had no problems. Which brings me to my review.... The house is very well stocked...

« Great property, friendly management and very helpful. Great location and we enjoyed going for the day to Fredericksburg and also saw lots of wildlife. The boys enjoyed the horse back riding offered by the owners of our rental property. All around great stay and close to town if you just want to get out or need supplies. »

« We enjoyed our stay at the Bavarian Cottage @ Home Away Ranch. Enjoyed watching all of the animals but especially the little piggy and the goats that came to visit us daily. The Bavarian Cottage has an amazing deck to enjoy and great view of the horses and playground. Hosts Micky and Vicky were great and sent us a text upon our arrival to see if we needed anything and were very responsive. We stayed here while visiting family in San Antonio and we will definitely stay again during future visits! »
