'Rooms shabby in parts. Bathroom very dated. We were celebrating an anniversary and special birthday but all we had was writing on a mirror. This was a disappointment. I also thought I left my watch in the room after checkout. I called to find out. Never heard back from them. They could have at least phoned to say they hadn’t located it. Breakfast felt rushed and was buffet whereas before it was al la carte. Don’t feel it’s 5 stars. It so could be with more attention to detail '

'The location is excellent, right on the seafront. Parking along the boulevard wasn't a problem for us, it was free. The hotel staff was friendly, the room was clean, beds were fine and the freshly prepared to order breakfast was very good. The hotel is in dire need of maintenance, though. A lot of stains in the ceiling of our room due to leakage. In the corridor, a bucket to catch the dripping water from the leaking skylight. '

'The stay was good, and the hotel, like others around, is of a certain age. It was clean, and the bed was good to sleep in. The facilities are fine - but the breakfast underwhelming, given the price for the hotel. '
