'We had a lovely stay at the charming and beatifully renovated house that is Broadmead. Our room was comfortable, spacious and nicely decorated. The breakfast was excellent and the service attentive and warm. We highly recommend.'

'We arrived late, but the hotel sent perfect instructions to get us to our rooms. Nicely appointed room. Only gripe was it was a little cool and the radiators weren’t on to adjust it.would definitely stay again and recommend. '

The price I paid was great and it was much cheaper than that advertised for the same room on bookings.com We had a family room, which had two rooms joining so the privacy between adults and children was excellent. The children had a single bed each (we have a 13 year old and a 6 ysar old). We had a bathroom with toilet and shower. It was very quiet in our room and you could barely hear the comings and goings of other guests or street traffic....

'As a constant traveller, I really prefer these older hotels with their big rooms and spacious bathrooms. Lovely staff, from reception to the restaurant and bar staff. Great home made steak and ale pie for dinner. Room was brightly lit, a big desk for working, lots of sockets and great WiFi. Thank you all.'
