'The road noise can be an issue if you are a light sleeper, but the location makes up for wearing ear plugs. Note, the front desk is sometimes unmanned and you will have to wait a few minutes as there appears to be only one person on staff at a time. This could also be because we were there starting New Year’s Day. The location is truly ideal and it only takes a few minutes to walk to shops and restaurants. You can walk to the pier (the return is uphill), in about 15 minutes. Awesome! ...

'We love this boutique hotel it is a little sparse on the big hotel amenities but it is very enjoyable to stay at. It has four stories but it has no elevator so be prepared to walk up and down the stairs. The views on each level are incredible of the pier and the ocean.'

'The hotel is very clean, updated with modern fixtures (excellent shower!), comfortable bed and the manager is very helpful. The rooms are smaller, as was customary when it was built, but this is one of the best remodels I've ever seen of motels from that era. Also, a huge TV! The heater/air conditioner is loud, but if you can get past that, you'll have a clean, pleasant and affordable stay. '

'Freda was the most excellent host. My room was clean and very quiet. I loved the small patio outside my door to sit and have breakfast. Her Sunday breakfast was to die for. Perfect location to walk around to shops and restaurants. I will definitely be coming back to stay here. '

'Every room has an ocean view. I liked the fire pit at night. We checked in and brought a cooler of food that fit nicely in the full size fridge in the kitchenette. The pillows were my favorite firmness which hardly ever happens at a hotel/motel. Easy walk to all the food places. Nice seeing the train go by below the property every so often. '
