'The room itself was very nice. The beds were comfortable. The area the hotel is in is typical of a downtown area and we did have a few people approach us asking for money as we parked and unloaded our bags. My one complaint is that I was looking forward to the hot tub and it was blocked off with caution tape and was not in service. '

'Hotel has a beautiful carved maple lobby, beautiful view of the illinois river & friendlt and accomodating staff. Rooms are nice. Some of the hallways etc could use some updating. Nice and quiet with excellent complimentary coffee in the mornings. Irish pub within walking distance as well as excellent pizza at Hoops Pizza and beer. Also located next to I 74 with wasy access'

'I was impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel in general. While the building is not new, it looks as it has undergone a renovation of sorts. Polite staff, nice breakfast, super clean and convenient to area restaurants, shops, etc.'
