'Decent hotel. Private beach good for families with kids. Good location by the city center and close to airport Downsides: exorbitant parking fee of 35$ and destination tax of 22$ which adds up. The hotel luau (island breeze) was quite expensive but Food at island breeze luau was bad. '

'Aan de kust. Goede plek. Weinig warm water. 1 van de weinige opties in deze prijsklasse. Parkeren kan verderop in de straat, dat is gratis. Dus laat je niet overhalen parkeren te kopen bij het hotel zelf.'

'Hale ‘Ohe (the name of the home) is a wonderful place to stay. Superb location with a small public beach park adjacent to the South. Walk North across the lawn of the complex and access a quiet two block road into town. Much nicer than walking busy Ali’i Drive. We would book again.'

'We found The Big Island Rereat to be just as good as the pictures! It was easy to find right off Ali'i drive. Check in and out were both very easy. We stayed in the Ocean View room which was just as advertised. There is no AC which is in the room description so there was no surprise. Ceiling fan and to other larger standing fans kept the air moving through the room. There is a common area which has beach chairs to use and some snorkel gear and boogie boards as well and an outdoor kitchen...
