'A very nice hotel at a reasonable price. The beds were great but it would have been nice to have a microwave. I enjoyed the free welcome drink and the staff was great. Parking is free and very convenient and the hotel is close to town. A great place to stay for a couple of nights while you tour Hilo and Volcano, which is less than an hour away.'

'Aantal km's oprijlaan, maar dan een heerlijk rustgevende plek met mooie vallei en aantal watervallen daarin, bij grootste waterval ook zwemmogelijkheid, personeel erg vriendelijk, lekker ontbijt op fraai terras, matrassen uitstekend, zelfs hardheid regelbaar, ook beschikking over gedeelde keuken. Kortom zeer fraaie rustgevende plek'

'The property is amazing with beautiful views. The host is very friendly and helpful. The only issue we had was the room wasn’t thoroughly cleaned before us. There was still hair in the drain that was not ours and cobwebs in many corners. BUT we would absolutely stay here again because it was wonderful! '

'Overall really good, the only thing that was a little frustrating was the bathroom and the shower, the water in the shower was either ice cold or burning hot it was impossible to find a middle temperature other than that was great'

'The room was beautiful and relaxing. I wanted to spend time there! Everything seemed well thought out so the small details made it quite a special experience. The bed and linens were great, the fruit was lovely, and the coffee/tea with the table set was welcoming. I could warm up quickly if it got chilly, and the private patio with rocking chairs was a nice way to enjoy coffee at dawn. '

'Internet deed het niet op de kamer, hiervoor moest je op de lanai gaan zitten waar je aangevallen werd door de muggen. Voor de rest was het verblijf prima.'

'The experience of staying at Kalani Oceanside Retreat was very relaxing and beautiful. We enjoyed the yoga class we signed up for very much. The people we encountered, both guests and staff, were great to talk with. The cottage we stayed at had lots of room and we had a fabulous view of the ocean and grounds around us.'

'The adorable cottage and delightful, whimsical garden grounds had everything we needed for a romantic and inspiring stay. Host Ira was warm and gracious. Our favorite spot. Wish we could have stayed longer. Perfect retreat gave us easy access to Volcano National Park. '

'Thank you for this amazing place. I could stay here for a very long time but i had to leave very soon ... Well that means i'm coming back!!'

'Great owners. Clean room. Beautiful all around. Nature is beyond words. Only 10 minutes drive from Hilo. Lots to do around Hilo and further. You do need a car. But that's good because you can explore the whole island. '
