Wat je kan verwachten

Ervaar de beroemdste bezienswaardigheden rond de berg Fuji. Leer meer over de Japanse geschiedenis en cultuur terwijl je geniet van het dramatische uitzicht op de berg Fuji.

Vertrek vanuit Tokio met de bus en kom aan bij het Kawaguchiko Oishi Park waar je prachtige foto's kunt maken met het Kawaguchi meer en de berg Fuji op de achtergrond. Ga verder naar het Arakura Sengen Park, gelegen halverwege de berg Arakura in Fujiyoshida in de prefectuur Yamanashi. Geniet van het panoramische uitzicht op de stad met de berg Fuji op de achtergrond en bewonder de kersenbloesems in de lente.

Daarna volgt Oshino Hakkai, een van de beroemdste plekken in het Fujisan gebied. Je kunt er de 8 verschillende meren zien en het water van de berg Fuji proeven. Als laatste ga je naar het 5e station (halverwege) van de berg Fuji, die 2300 m hoog is. Je kunt hier heerlijk eten of unieke souvenirs kopen, met uitzicht op de top van de berg Fuji. In de winter gaan we naar het 4e station/Mt. Fuji 1e station of het Yamanakako Hananomiyako park om de zonsondergang van Diamond Fuji te zien.

Choose one of the less expensive ones instead ... because it honestly doesn't seem to make a difference. Since most operators offer a very similar program and the reviews for all of them are quite good, I booked this one based on a recommendation from a travel blog I like, even though it was double the price of the cheapest offer. I thought I'd get a better tour for it, but honestly our guide just dumped us at the individual viewpoints - only explaining a little bit about them on the bus, which was hardly audible in the back, because she spoke very fast and the speakers were not loud enough. She did not go with us but expected us to be back at certain times, saying the bus would leave without us, if we were more than 5 minutes late. I understand that as a group tour we ought to follow a schedule, but she did not even bother to check, whether we all made it back, but rather said that we should check ourselves (which is great when you are traveling on your own and have no one to check f

The transportation was good except the meeting point is not easy for us to find the place especially so when it was a first trip to Japan. As for the tour price, we realised it was quite highly priced as compared to the ones quoted by our hotel which is also much convenient when the pick up is at our hotel. The view for mt fuji was not as prominent when I compare with my friends’ tour booked from he hotel. Both driver and guide were friendly. However, I feel the tour could have been more interesting and informative if the guide can explain in details to all of us in a group instead of just to those who are walking with her. We often missed out on her explanation of the tour because we were always at the last due to our walking.

It was very well organised. Our guide Zoe was sometimes a little hard to understand as she spoke very quickly. A little less time was needed for the lunch/shopping break which means the day could be reduced by nearly an hour meaning you would miss the busy traffic when returning to the city.

We had an amazing day. Really comfortable coach and the guide was efficient and helpful. The weather was amazing - which helped. Really enjoyed the trip and for a day trip to Fuji it was perfect !

The 4th stop had no vending machines or running water at that stop. The guide did mention this but I think some on the tour didn’t understand the nature of this. The guide did everything correctly but I would recommend they in the future the guide should explicitly say “if you want to buy any drinks or snacks the third stop is the final stop to do so there is no chance to get food or drink at the fourth stop. Again this isn’t anything the guide did wrong, just suggesting additional emphasis.

The worst tour i’ve done in years!!! No exclamations from the guide, the sports were over crowded. We lost so much time at each spot that was not necessary in my opinion.
