« We had a change of plans for our road trip and found this delightful B and B at the last minute. We were very pleasantly surprised; the property is beautiful architecturally, the hosts were really gracious and welcoming, and the breakfasts were wonderful. Murphy's is a little foodie haven with a bunch of local cellar doors open to the public, and historic goldrush era buildings in the surrounding villages. « It was not great from the outside just kinda basic. But the room was clean and all updated. Had coffee pot with flavored creamer and fridge. Shampoo conditioner and hair dryer. It was great for the price »

« I enjoyed the quietness and cleanliness of my room. It’s an old inn with history. My room was nice with all the amenities. It took a while for the heater to heat the room. The night I stayed it was extremely cold and wintery. »

« Everything was good. Breakfast was better than we thought it would be. If we had one complaint, it would be that the “suites” are not suites in our opinion. When it’s advertised as “separate bedroom” we felt that description implied more than what it actually was, which to us, it was just a deluxe King size room, not “suite” or “separate”. Would definitely stay here again though. »

« The new owners are working really hard to renovate this motel. The rooms are very comfortable, the place is very quiet. Yes there is a bit of a mess outside while work goes on but that can be overlooked. The owner is very nice and serviable. Breakfast is good but some bread and/or bagels would be a nice addition. »
