It is in a wonderful location for those who are visiting Lexington, Virginia, Washington and Lee University, or Virginia Military Institute. « We had a wonderful stay at Hillcrest Mansion Inn. It felt like stepping onto a film set worthy of Downton Abbey. The house is beautiful; it was so nice and peaceful to spend time in such a warm and cozy place. Breakfast was phenomenal, Martha is an amazing cook. « The Inn at Meadowcroft provided our first experience of sleeping in a log cabin. It is a cabin with modern conveniences. The room was clean and tastefully furnished. Coffee was provided in the room. I was impressed that the bathroom provided a magnifying mirror for applying makeup.Bill, the owner, is a wealth of information about the Inn and the area. « First time at a bed and breakfast. Very enjoyable and more important relaxing spot away from the craziness of the city. Room was perfect and I actually enjoyed the room not having a tv which was a great way to disconnect and I appreciate that! Would come back here again for a wine trip! »
