« We were looking for country experiences on our trip to NZ and this was a great stop with a very friendly host. Ray was watching for us at the driveway to his quaint setting. Beautiful flowers and trees nestled near a river with pastures of sheep. Ray offered alot of info regarding nearby sites and lifestyle in his part of NZ. The property is small and separate rooms for fridge and kitchen/bathroom which is detailed on his site. »

« We stayed four nights in this older farm house. There’s so much room, a nice big kitchen and the view and fresh air were wonderful. The beds had lovely linen but were softer than our liking. The single bathroom was on the opposite side of the house from the bedrooms. Other furnishings are a bit tired and shabby, but we were not really at the house very much because there is so much to explore in the area. We also appreciated Melanie letting us stay one night up the hill at her studio as I didn’t...

« This was a great base camp for exploring the Catlins. Beds were clean and comfortable, although I felt I had to wipe down the kitchen before using it. The property was amazing! Beautiful views of the estuary, a peaceful place to walk in the mornings, and good view of stars at night. »

« The property was neat and tidy. We didn't spend too much time in the property - just to eat and sleep! The bathroom isn't flash but the shower was just amazing! Was so tired but the water pressure was perfect - better than a massage! »
