« Visiting Clarkes is like stepping back in time. The architecture of the building makes such a refreshing change from the modern hotels of concrete, glass and over the top air conditioning. Our room was lovely and was beautifully furnished and the public areas of the hotel were also thoughtfully presented. Although some people might find it a little formal, the staff were friendly and polite without exception. We would stay there again without hesitation. »

« I reserved their Super Deluxe room through Expedia customer service. The Super Deluxe room was supposed to have two beds, however, when I check-in, the room that was given to me only had one bed and looked nothing like in the pictures posted on Expedia. On top of that, their Wifi was not working, and when I mentioned to them, they could not care less. This was very annoying because I had to use my international roaming to browse which can get expensive. I've complained to Expedia and it was...
