The young man who checked us in was quite pleasant and efficient. The room was large and clean, and the shower was fully functional with sufficient water pressure. It was quiet throughout the night, but that may have been because there were so few guests.
The 06:00-10:00 breakfast was terrible. We arrived at approximately 09:15, but we had to wait over 30 minutes to get anything that wasn’t full of sugar (yes, there were sugary yogurt cups, blueberry muffins, and danishes that were stuck together along with a communal fork to tear them apart, but we weren’t going to eat those). The eggs, sausages, and potatoes bins were empty, and the cook seemed to be in no rush to refill them. While we waited, we sipped very weak Dark Roast coffee.
When the eggs finally came, they were extremely low quality (powdered or the product of some other unappetizing processing method), and the sausages were too disgusting to touch. At least the cook tried to apologized for her ineptitude.
Except the young man who checked us in, every other staff member we met was robotic, unsmiling, and unwelcoming. Perhaps the upper management should consider sending the staff to an Asian hotel for hospitality lessons, or perhaps these staff members should look for different employment if they’re so unhappy at this hotel.
In summary, the evening experience was pleasant; the morning experience was not. We may or may not stay here in the future, but if we do return, it won’t be for the hospitality or breakfast.
