'Only one night for us, but enjoyed the resort. We arrived 2.5 hours before check in, but they provided us complimentary drinks so we went to the restaurant/bar and met King, the bartender. Really enjoyed our drinks while we chatted with him and he provided a recommendation to go visit the local chocolate company about 15 min away, which worked out for us. 'We flew into BZE and drove to Placencia/Maya Beach. We were greeted at Azure Del Mar with a welcome drink and our names on the sign! What a greeting after a long travel day and drive! Dinner was lovely, we got some great recommendations from the staff, and work up to the beautiful peaceful ocean, breakfast, paddleboarding, oat milk lattes (hot or iced!). Although we had many day trips planned, we certainly would come back and simply stay at the property. Everything you need for a beach get a way...

'Vele zaken waren mis in dit hotel, wat een zogezegd top lodge zou moeten zijn. De prijs was er in ieder geval naar. De zaken die ons opvielen: slechte gordijnen (extra bed stond in de zit kamer die niet eens donker gemaakt kon worden. 'Fantastic place to stay! Jungle setting was beautiful with lots of wildlife. Floating the Macal River was fun for kids (and adults). The food was fresh, perfectly prepared, and always with a local touch. Staff were welcoming and attentive. Lots of activities available and sites to see nearby. We enjoyed our stay at Sweet Songs more than the beach near Placencia. '
