« Moreno's Cottages are a pleasant series of little cabins between Lake Placid and Saranac Lake. My brother and I stayed in #7. There were two twin beds, a nook and a small, separate kitchen area. It was rustic, but modern enough to feel like you had a place to relax after a hike. We did have some problems getting in, but Todd was super accommodating and had backup codes for us to use. « Come to find out, that the Owners had closed their Vrbo account a few years prior. I showed up with the confirmation on Vrbo. The Owners were VERY GRACIOUS and accommodating. They immediately came down and cleaned and refreshed a camp that was not finished for me to stay in. They gave me a few handmade souvenirs and had me come over to their Farm for a Farm-Fresh homemade Breakfast. Such a great family and people to have. « Property is just as described. Was in a perfect location between Whiteface and Lake Placid. My boyfriend and son loved being able to fish right behind the house (trail is steep but well marked). The hot tub was amazing! The little supermarket is definitely little so if you’re arriving later at night I would recommend brining any food stuff you may need for the next morning with you (coffee!). Wonderful weekend would definitely stay again! »

« It was great to get some warm up runs in cross country skiing right out the front door, grab the included ski passes to Scotts Cobble right across the street for some nice laps on groomed trails. Definitely recommend this quiet getaway just a few minutes from downtown Placid. »
