« Property has a great location and fantastic views. A particular feature was the sitting room with large sash window. Inside property a little tired and would have benefited from an extra bathroom given it can sleep 10. We enjoyed our stay. »

The property is sold as a pool holiday (rare in the UK), but the pool was not usable in a safe manner, with loose tiling and sharp edges. « Very comfortable and clean. Spacious and bright. Great water views and those of the bridge. There was a problem with the heating which the landlord took care of right away. We had everything we needed during our stay. We were not familiar with a gas stove (coming from Canada) and didn't want to risk using it. No instructions were provided. « Property and access as described. Access may be an issue for some but for our family of fit and able types this provided a convenient spacious and value for money weekend stay. You may have to park some way from the property, make sure the driver takes a coat if there is the slightest chance of rain. »

« We enjoyed our stay. The place is very clean and comfortable. The manager was extremely responsive to questions. Check-in and check-out were easy. Cute neighborhood with two pubs. Best place to park is at the top of the hill! »

We left several suggestions in the guest book for little things that would make this property the luxurious listing the title implies. We found 2 of the bed mattresses placed upside-down on the beds after they were changed from Kings to singles. « We had the best time onboard, we are a family of 5 staying 4 nights, there was plenty of room and the cleanliness and facilities were outstanding, glen and Emma are so lovely and brought fresh bottles of water, milk, bread. Beautiful historic building, rude staff

"Very historic hotel, old style but pleasant. Room was big and convenienr. Staff was a bit rude, for example they charge guest staying 2 nights for printing 1 page pdf document, never seen if for last 10 years. Night receptionist not helpfull at all inasked where to buy uk electric sockets. It was very visible that i bothering him. He said rudely not possible before 9am. I went out walk 2 min and shop was selling that. Really could be very good place but this staff do that its just an average place"

"Bathrooms badly need upgrading. Caulk between some of the tiles need cleaning. Edge of bathroom door has chipped paint. Old style heaters do not work. Staff were excellent and brought up a space heater for the room. Sorry - cannot understand the questions that are only in Francais"
