'Dave was amazing, a really friendly host who genuinely enjoyed taking us over to brush the horses and feed peanuts to the goats and sheep. A great experience in many ways. And loved sitting on the porch swing, watching the grass and trees blow in the breeze.'

'Deserts Edge is an incredible stay. The photos - while good on the website - don’t do it justice. There is a well stocked kitchen (and a plus that its stocked with Karen’s beautiful pottery), lovely living space to sit in, super comfortable bed and big bathroom with a great shower. There is even a desk area to sit and work or write. The windows give access to garden views or front yard views with big trees. There was plenty of cool air going through the whole house to keep me so comfortable at...

Her house is located within walking distance to the Blue Beryl winery and within a 10 minute drive of countless others. If you’re looking for a great spot to enjoy a wine weekend, you’ve found it. 'We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this awesome cottage. It was very well kept clean and easily accessible for everything that we wanted to go visit and see in Grand Junction. The beds were very comfortable actually and it was very cozy sitting in the living room and dining area at the end of the day.'

'This property was in a convenient location to Colorado National Monument and local stores. The views were beautiful, the hot tub was clean and seemed brand new. The kitchen was stocked with pots, pans, utensils, plastic wrap, paper towels..even the bathroom had soap, shampoo...suer convenient! The downside was there was some exposed wires/insulation in the ceiling, missing baseboards, rickety/non-existent railings, small holes in the floor/tile, mismatched paint. 'Came to Palisade for the annual AGAG conference. This place was perfect. Very close to Cameo, comfortable and had everything you need. Walking distance to shops and restaurants and close to hiking. Didn’t use the bikes but super cool they were available. Will stay again!'

"De kamer is OK maar de rest is een ramp. De service is nagenoeg onbestaande. Al je iets wil moet je erom bedelen. Bedden worden niet opgemaakt. Het (continentaal) ontbijt is minimalistisch van keuze. Men eet uit kartonnen borden met plastieken bestek en dito bekers. Het hotel is totaal onderstaffed: dezelfde persoon zorgt voor de check-out, het bereiden van het warme gedeelte van het ontbijt en het aanvullen van het ontbijtbuffet. Geen wonder dus dat bepaalde zaken van het ontbijt gedurende langrre tijd (20 minuten) niet aangevuld werden, bijv. sinaasappelsap. Als je een premium prijs wil betalen voor de kwaliteit van een jeugdherberg dan is dit hotel voor jou. Besluit: blijf er dus weg"
