'Highly recommend to stay at Cromwell’s Tap House. It’s located in the heart of Shrewsbury, at walking distance of pretty much everything in town. Only 7 minutes from the train station. The rooms were located on the first floor above the pub. We heard no noise whatsoever, and only in the morning we heard some cars go by, but it was of no nuisance to us. 'Ik werd warm ontvangen toen ik 's avonds aankwam. De kok was al naar huis maar toch werd aangeboden dat ze hem belden om iets voor me klaar te komen maken. Ik heb geen gebruik gemaakt van het aanbod maar het laat wel de hoge servicegraad zien. De kamer was netjes, er was een waterkoker met thee/koffie en het bed lag heerlijk. het is een hotel dat een zeer persoonlijke benadering heeft. Top!'

'The hotel's location was beautiful due to the backdrop of the trees and hills and on the river Severn. Internally the hotel is very traditional with old features, fixtures and fittings. Single glazed windows led to it being cold in some areas, especially our room and creaking floors. Meals and beers were good and staff very helpful and polite. We wouldn't stay again but that's not a reflection on the hotel, it is just us wanting to stay in other hotels in different locations. Fully recommend...
