'My 21-day stay at Casa da Buena Vista was wonderful. It is located in a very nice neighbourhood that is within walking distance to town. I enjoyed breakfast in the garden while watching and listening to birds, including hummingbirds and canaries. The host, Richard, was very helpful and welcoming. The room was very comfortable and had everything I needed. The grounds are very peaceful and beautiful. Every day was a good day- for 21 days.'

'My stay was well spent at Golfview. I have absolutely no regrets making this choice. The place has a "homey" feel to it. I needed a place that is clean, felt safe and comfortable with a great ambiance. Golfview provided all of the above with the added benefit of a great lounge to hang out and have a drink or to eat sumptuous meals on evenings along with and excellent complimentary breakfast choices on mornings. I highly recommend Golfview Hotel in Mandeville for your vacation while in Jamaica...

'Only A frame I know of in Jamaica! Kind of like staying in a tiny house.Hot plate worked well just needed a larger skillet for cooking a meal. Microwave didnt work well. Other appliances all worked well & put to use. Plunge pool refreshingly welcomed. Morning views to the Great pond with sunshine reflections awesone. Night view of Lovers Leap Lighthouse also spectacular. Then the night star filled sky. No other people on the lane but owner very aware of goings on so security definitely there....

'I liked that the property was in a very rural area so I saw the real Jamaica . But I also had some creature comforts at beyond sunset. The staff were lovely and helpful. The place was in a beautiful spot and well maintained even though they were still recovering from the recent hurricane. '

'The sat nav directions took us to a field a couple of.mikes away from the property, called thenumber, took a few tries to get an answer, then due to misunderstanding, was given dirctions for coming in the opposite direction that we were.heading, took a few phone calls and a few wrong turns till we got there. The lady on arrival was really helpful. Had choice of 2 cabins. Lovely, vlean and huge bed. Take.mosquito spay though as right next to the water. The view was amazing of the pond....

'My family and I had a wonderful stay at this property. Great location in Black River on the beach. The place was easy to find, safe, and clean. The beds were very comfy, cool AC, and had great wifi. I highly recommend staying here and will stay again in the future. '

'As per email exchange with Hotels.com, we are trying to obtain a refund for this booking as, on arrival at the hotel, the gate was chained closed. We had kept trying to phone to confirm our ETA but the telephone number was unobtainable. The hotel did not attempt to contact us. We were very disappointed as the remote location really appealed to us.'

'Very quiet and comfortable. Grounds were maintained and the beach is right outside the back gate of the property. The only issue was internet access. Maybe it was due to the recent hurricane, so I want consider that a negative. We had our global hotspot, so we managed. '
