'Windsor heeft twee pro's: het is centraal in de binnenstad van Funchal gelegen en het heeft een parkeergarage (parkeren is in Funchal niet zo gemakkelijk). Kamers zijn ruim en net, bedden goed. 'Hotel Monte Carlo is een heel basic hotel. Op zich was onze kamer steeds netjes en de bedden werden altijd opgemaakt en waren fris. Echter is het gebouw zeer oud en afgeleefd. Het is zeker aan een grote opfrisbeurt toe. Het tapijt in heel het hotel is vervaagd en vol vlekken. Er hing gewoon een onaangename, onfrisse sfeer in het gebouw.
