Listing said 3 bedrooms. Unless I missed it, it failed to mention that on the 2nd floor, you have to walk through one bedroom to get to the other. The air conditioning unit is at the top of the stairway before walking into the bedroom. To cool both rooms, the connecting door must remain open. So if you want privacy in that 3rd bedroom, there is none.
The first floor air was on when we arrived, but the second floor air was not. It was sweltering hot. Although this home has tons of potential, it really needs some updating (new carpeting, new bathroom) and a good, thorough cleaning. Lots of soap and mildew buildup in the bathroom. It could use an exterminator as well, particularly in the area of the 2nd floor "closet". Ants, bugs and moths were coming out of it.
The location was great as far as the area goes, but it is on a pretty busy street. The hum of the air conditioners cancelled the road noise. In the cooler months, that's probably not the case. The deck in the back provided a nice sitting area in the evening.
I really don't like to write a bad review, but I rely on reviews when choosing a place to stay. I did with this one too. The reviews were good (4.9), so I was quite perplexed when we arrived and saw the home.
As I said, it has so much potential but really needs some TLC and updates.
