« Très jolie château avec des grandes réceptions et des chambres pas très grandes mais confortables. Un peu l'ambiance de Downton Abbey. Bien situé pour visiter le Beamish Museum. Une touche française - nordique comme le fils de Guillaume le conquérant était le fondateur. »

« Wifi is only free when you book through the Campanile website, 4G is dreadful in the area. Had only one towel in the bathroom upon arrival, a second one in the wardrobe, no bath mat or hand towel. Room hasn't been hoovered during our stay and hadn't been done under the bed. Also, whenever you or your neighbour flush the toilet, there's an awful pipe sounds in both rooms while it fills up!! Staff is polite, quiet location (but cardboard walls so you hear everything), it's ok for one night or...

« Very clean, newly refurbished room (#14) with a very well stocked tea tray and good towels and bedding. On a Sunday night, there were limited eating options nearby, so we had a chinese and pizza takeaway in our room. The room was let down by needing just a little more maintenance - the desk chair was broken and the door handle was loose. Its also a noisy hotel because although other guests were just going about their normal business the sound seemed to really carry and echo through the corridor....
