Halcyon House, votre escapade privée dans la région viticole californienne des contreforts.

Cottage de style victorien spacieux avec toutes les commodités modernes. Porche avant doux et grand patio arrière pour la vie en plein air. Endroit privé et calme, à quelques pas des restaurants, des boutiques et des dégustations de vin dans la ville historique d'Amador. Plus de 40 établissements vinicoles sont à une courte distance en voiture.

Halcyon House est disponible sur un autre site de voyage depuis plus d'un an et chaque invité nous a donné cinq étoiles!

La maison dispose d'un maître au rez-de-chaussée avec lit king et salle de bain complète. Le deuxième étage comprend une chambre king et une reine, avec deuxième salle de bain. Les deux chambres à l'étage ont des lucarnes avec des lits de jour, parfaites pour les enfants ou un coin lecture. La cuisine est entièrement meublée avec assiettes, verres, couverts, casseroles et poêles, petits appareils électroménagers et café, thé, crémier et édulcorant.

Le porche à côté du petit étang est un endroit pour se détendre en plein air. Grand patio arrière privé avec coin salon, table à manger et grill. Le réservoir de propane et le nettoyant pour gril sont inclus. S'il vous plaît, faites-moi savoir si vous n'avez plus l'un ou l'autre.

A 10 Star find!
This is wine country at its best. This home is not only very clean, it is classy and comfortable in every detail. We went to celebrate an anniversary and Marilee added some thoughtful, delightful extras to make our stay special. She was extremely helpful when we (uneducated in new technology) asked for some direction in using the thermostat. This place was the top of the line. We recommend it 100% and hope we can stay there again.

A true gem in the Gold Country
This was our second stay at the Halcyon House and when our stay is complete, we always feel a little sad. Both the property and host Marilee are warm and welcoming, and Halcyon feels like home. It is beautiful inside and out and has a well equipped kitchen. The location is quiet and a stones throw to downtown Amador City and a short drive to Sutter Creek and the wine region of Shenandoah Valley. We will definitely return!

Cute house, had everything we needed. The host was very helpful. It was a bit cold for people that live in Arizona as the heater only went to 72, however the furniture was cozy as they had throws that came in handy. Marilee thank you for your help!

I was so happy when I walked in the door - clean, charming, spacious, comfortable, and a very well equipped kitchen! Had a lovely week with my kids where we were able to spend quality time together and also all have our own space. Highly recommend and I will book this place again next time I visit!

Better than we could have ever imagined!
Having never been in the area before, we were thrilled by the location for one - one block walk to great food and cocktails at the Imperial, local brewery, quaint city. Everything we were here to do was a short drive. And once back at Halcyon House, it offered every amenity we needed - great attention to detail, very welcoming setting, indoor and outdoor areas that are comfortable and relaxing. I speak for all 6 of us when I say this is a wonderful gem, a home away-from-home, with a host who is friendly and responsive (not that we needed anything!) We highly recommend!!!

The Best-- hosts have thought of everything!
We've lived in the Bay Area and North Bay for 40 years and this was the first time visiting this area. Amazing! No surprise that this property gets such high ratings-- it is well-deserved: It's plush, comfortable, spacious, thoughtfully appointed and well stocked. Loved the huge, inviting back patio-- shaded, comfy padded chairs, beautiful trees and flowers. Kitchen was a joy to cook in. We knew we were staying during days that the town was closed but it didn't matter-- had long morning hikes and an easy 10- minute drive to numerous wineries for tasting and lunch, and loved returning to the home to relax and cook dinner. We're already looking forward to next year's return! Many thanks for sharing your home!

Amador City Treasure!
Just returned from two nights at this lovely property! There were six of us friends on a wine tasting adventure! This home was by far the best VRBO I've had the experience of using! It was private and in a charming setting. The host was diligent in replying to my inquiries! It was clean, the kitchen was well stocked with everything we could have needed, plenty of bath towels, etc! I would recommend this to anyone who would be going to this area!

Perfect Family Retreat
This was the perfect place for our family to stay! My sister just got married at Hotel Sutter but because my family is a larger than average we opted to get our own place instead of staying at the hotel. This house was PERFECTION! It is so clean and comfortable plus it has everything you could possibly need! I’m a self professed linen snob, the sheets and towels are lovely here, they even provide good toilet paper! The kitchen has all the utensils, appliances, dishes and serving ware you could possibly need. I really appreciated the great extras, I brought a steamer but there was already one there with the iron. My kids who had to share rooms appreciated how there was some privacy between the beds. You can tell a lot of thought was put into the setup and decorating of this home. My 9 year old LOVED the backyard play space, it was a wonderful way for her to decompress after all the formal events of the weekend. The location of the house is quiet, safe and secure. The hosts were easy to contact and there is also a local property manager if there is an immediate need. If our family ever has a need to travel to the area again we will be staying here. Thank you!

Perfect place for 6 women to enjoy. House is clean, darling and is set-up with everything one would need. We loved sitting out in the back patio watching deer walk past. The town is a very short walk and fun to explore. We are already planning our next girl's trip. Owner was very responsive. 5 star place for sure!

Wonderful home!
The house is lovely and wonderful for two couples traveling together because there is great privacy for each couple. Thehouse has everything you need and a lovely outdoor area for grilling or enjoying morning breakfast! Marilee is a great hostess and is a great communicator! It is a great location to visit local wineries, especially on the weekends. A lot of things are closed during the early week, but we loved the house and would highly recommend it!

Perfect in Every Way
We booked the Halcyon House to attend an event and celebrate a birthday. This house was just perfect. The backyard was so peaceful and welcoming. The walk into town was easy and there was a very fun event called Dancing in the Streets. We were having so much fun we didn't want to go to our event. Thank you Marilee for sharing your home with us and an extra big thank you for the "Happy Birthday" sign to welcome us. We can't wait to come back!

Great House!
Five lifelong friends stayed here for our annual "girls trip." We've been doing this since 1997. Fabulous house - welcoming and comfortable with all the amenities you could possibly need. Marilee and Chris were wonderful! Stayed in many places in CA, Oregon and Washington and this was definitely one of the best! Hope to return!

What an awesome rental!
We needed a rental to use as home base for our sons wedding in Sutter Creek and Halcyon House had us from the moment we saw the listing. A beautiful home, located on a quiet hill with gorgeous views no matter where you are looking. The home has plenty of space and all the comforts of home. Comfy beds, spacious areas to relax or entertain and just a lovely restored home. I cannot say enough good things about Marilee! She saved the day in many ways with her suggestions and assistance in connecting us with people in the area to make our rehearsal dinner and stay a complete success. Thank you so much, Marilee, for sharing your lovely home, your contacts and your genuine enthusiasm in making this not only a place to stay but a memory we will cherish.

Halcyon House is the BEST! it's perfect for friends and family trips. The house is well appointed and so comfortable - a true home away from home.
