Unique Romantic Beach Style Cottage close to Folly Beach & historic Charleston!

If you like island living and are seeking a unique romantic get-a-way, you will LOVE our property. With a Caribbean/surfing theme you will be able to enjoy your stay with us in a private setting. Our cozy cottage has two rooms but all you need to relax and unwind. The outside area has tropical trees along the pathway to our pool and sun deck for your enjoyment. Music is also an added pleasure around the pool area with outdoor sound system. The garden shower (and only shower) is just outside the cottage doors, completely private and unique as you can see in the photos. Our guests have a private entrance to the cottage on the back of the property. There is a cozy porch with Adirondack chairs for relaxing. Bicycles, Beach chairs, surfboard, and cooler are provided for your beach fun. The property is located behind our home on a quiet cul-de-sac with no noise except for the songbirds chirping in the mornings. Short 10 minute drive to either Folly Beach or to downtown historic Charleston. We have many guests celebrate honeymoons, weddings, anniversaries, graduations, and other Charleston events throughout the year. A long list of things to do as well as favorite restaurants are provided by past guests as well as family and friends. Our pool is unheated and located behind the main home and being the only guests, you will be able to enjoy it on your own. We have a strict no-pet policy so please do not ask for an exception. The beautiful bungalow
We loved Ken and Christine. They’re so sweet and chill. They had all the beach stuff you could need !! It’s a little pricey for the amenities you’re getting though. It is indeed a shared pool. Not private. The bed was not as comfortable as I thought it would be. Overall we’re super chill about where we stay. Just a few things to consider.

Slice of Relaxing Paradise!
We absolutely loved our 5-night stay at Kokomo Cottage. It was quiet, peaceful and exactly what we needed after a hectic tax season. Rather heading to Folley Beach, or downtown Charleston for a day of shopping, sightseeing or an incredible dinner, the Cottage is centrally located to everything we wanted to do. Owners ensure your privacy and were very helpful, as needed! We loved our vacation and didn't want to leave! Thanks Ken and Christine!!!

Being 15 minutes away from historic downtown Charleston and under 15 minutes from Folly Beach made it the perfect combination for a memorable stay! Girls trip

Seacoast adventure
On assignment in Greensboro NC and missing home a little bit ( NH Seacoast) so we thought we’d visit Charleston SC and all it’s history cuisine and the ocean. Never made it to Charleston but really enjoyed the Folly Beach area, Pier 101 and SC lowlands. So pretty. Found Edison and enjoyed two lovely meals right around the corner from our Kokomo home base. Many thanks to Ken and Christine for sharing their little slice of heaven with us and letting us watch the Bruins game poolside. Too short to enjoy all the area has to offer but a great getaway.
