'For the price I am very happy. The buffet in particular is great value and delicious. I think the hotel is 3-4 star in it's current shape, and one of the best in the area. I liked the staff, who did their best to be helpful. A few areas to improve: * The Chai tea had sour milk both times they served it to me. 'I really liked this place, the staff was very friendly anf forthcoming and food was excellent. The beach access is easy and the beach is absolutely stunning albeit wild. It’s not a 5-star hotel in the european sense but a great space if you want a bit of privacy and peace when visiting Mamallapuram.'

'Brilliant place, food very good. Limited menu but very tasty. The staff cannot do enough to help you. Very polite and discreet. nice clean pool. Quiet at night. Very modern room with a memory foam mattress, very comfy and large. Fridge and tea and coffee making. AC very cold and very quiet ceiling fan makes for a good night's sleep. '

'Dit hotel was een verademing t.o.v. het jachtige Chennai. We hadden niet verwacht dat het zo'n rust zou uitstralen. De bediening was zeer goed, hulpvaardig en zeker niet opdringerig. Het is geweldig gelegen aan het strand en het groen wordt zeer goed onderhouden. het is zeker een aanrader voor mensen die rust en luxe willen ervaren.'

'Handily located in the delightful city of Puducherry, the Atithi is modern and comfortable. It is not a resort hotel but has great staff, spacious rooms and a great roof-top swimming pool. If I had any issues, the pool could do with some shady areas. Cleanliness in the big rooms and bathrooms was generally good though they didn’t seem to often wipe the windows! Quite a lot of smears. Breakfast was excellent.'

'This hotel is in a great location overlooking the beach. The promenade is a nice walk. The rooms are clean and the restaurants are good. The location is a very easy walk to the attractions and sights of Pondicherry and shopping. '

'This is an exquisite hotel in the old French town in Pondicherry. Although not a heritage hotel, hotel, to their credit, made it a point to make it look so. Kudo. The rooms are luxurious and have all the amenities one would want. The from office staff, two men and a woman whose names I will add in when have access to the paper, were kind, courteous and super-helpful. I had a wonderful time!!!'

'Beautiful rooms, very comfortable and nicely maintained. Interesting, historic building in great location - easy walking distance to many sights in White Town. Nice restaurant food and great cocktails, but a la carte breakfast was not available - only buffet, which was simple but good. Management very friendly and helpful however, restaurant staff not particularly attentive so service could be slow at times. But all in all a very nice place to stay in the centre of Pondy.'
