« The sliding door to the room leads to a shared balcony with other rooms. Well the door was not secure, the locking mechanism was cheap and bent and could easily be opened by pushing it which puts valuables at risk for being stolen. That is my only complaint »

« I stayed at the property for one week. The rooms were spacious but dated. Some fixtures need to be replaced (stained carpets, mosquito netting, shower curtains). Appeared to be mold on bathroom ceiling, and dead insect in bathroom on check-in. However, staff extremely friendly and restaurant was very good, although expensive by local standards. Wifi was sometimes inconsistent. Overall, I rate stay as average. »

« The staff, including Judith at the Reception, Evans, the chef, and the security team, were exceptionally hospitable and professional, ensuring a delightful stay with freshly prepared meals. The rooms, meticulously maintained by the housekeeping team, are both clean and well-appointed, making them perfect for both business and leisure travelers. Additionally, the soundproof windows provide a serene environment, even for rooms facing the bustling Oginga Odinga Street. I highly recommend this venue...

« This is an expertly run hotel with an amazingly friendly, helpful and attentive staff who speak excellent English. A nice, safe resort that westerners will feel at home visiting. »

« Ciala is the best resort in Kisumu and the pricing is very affordable. We booked a couple rooms, since we had a big party. The staff was incredibly friendly. Security team was great. The pool was nice. They had a kids area and plenty of area to run around. One neat thing they did was catch your own fish and the staff would cook it for you from a giant fish tank. Think of it like picking a lobster, but with a lake twist. Very easy to recommend. Will gladly book again. »

« Daniels place was wonderful. The place is serene and quiet. the house is furnished with all that you may need. The host was welcoming and very responsive. A few things needs attention like the kitchen cupboard. »

« They downgraded her room after attempting to cancel our stay while we were traveling to get there. Definitely would not recommend and will not be staying there again. »
