'We were really lucky we ended up at Hotel Imperial. One of the employees, Frandzy, was extremely helpful and spoke good English. If your French is a bit rusty like mine, definitely ask for him. He helped us find a bank that would take our credit card to get some money (which wasn't easy) and arranged transport to the citadel and palace. We really felt welcome!! But the other staff also went out of their way to help us with anything in or around the hotel. Cap Haitien can be a bit of a culture...
