'Aardig hotel na grondige renovatie, bij ons 400 waren de gordijnen nog niet vervangen. En in badkamer al eerst schimmelplekjes. Erg jammer. Ergste is eigenlijk de manager eigenaar van het restaurant. Eerst betalen voor je een diner geserveerd krijg, aan de bar bestellen! De keuken is wel erg goed.'

'The property is located near the lake with a great walk to enjoy. The room was spacious and comfortable, the breakfast was acceptable however we found the coffee weak and tasteless. We would have appreciated an espresso coffee which standard in 4 stars hotel.'

'Good sized room with safe, hairdryer , tea and coffee making, robes and slippers. Enjoyed the spa after a good walk. Quality breakfast. My only negative was the bed was too hard so I didn't sleep well. My friends in other rooms found beds ok so personal experience. There are some electric car charging facilities in the car park. '

'Een zeer charmant hotel in typische UK-stijl. Alles was top! Ik kan dit hotel zeker aanbevelen. Ook een ideaal hotel voor mensen die hun hond graag mee op vakantie nemen. En een ideale plaats als vertrekpunt voor tal van wandelingen. Enige minpuntje is dat er geen airco op de kamer is. Maar dat is in de meeste manors niet te vinden. 😉 Dus enkel bij zeer tropische temperaturen zou ik een andere locatie zoeken. '

'It's a lovely hotel with excellent grounds to walk the dogs in. Although it could do with a paint touch up in places and some TLC The room we had was clean and the bed was comfy. The service was good however they appeared to be short staffed. The young waitress in the dining room serving evening meal works really hard, and she's a credit to the hotel. The food at both breakfast and in the evening was really nice. We would return to this hotel again if staying over in Keswick.'
