« They canceled our reservation literally at the last minute without any notification whatsoever; leaving us stranded at the Maun Airport. Then the manager refused to give us a refund. Both Expedia and I tried to rectify the situation for over an hour while still at the airport all to no avail. This feels like quite a scam! They took a reservation and almost $300 USD. Canceled the reservation without notice and kept the money!!! Expedia said they couldn’t drop the hotel out of their system unless...

« Excellent rapport qualité prix pour cette petite Guest House ouverte il y a moins d’un an. Elle comprend trois chambres seulement, ce qui garantit une certaine tranquillité, de l’eau chaude en quantité suffisante et une excellente connexion wifi, ce qui est rare dans la région. Lit grand et confortable, hôte serviable et gentil, nous recommandons ! »

« J'ai séjourné 2 nuits dans cet hôtel. Ma chambre était propre, bien agencée et spacieuse. Je suis arrivée à 3h du matin et j'ai reçu un bon service. Il est situé à moins de 5 minutes de marche de restaurants et de magasins. Une crème anti-moustique était fournie. Le seul hic, c'est que quand on les contactent via la messagerie Expedia, ils ne répondent pas. C'est frustrant surtout que je savais que j'allais arriver dans la nuit et que j'avais vraiment besoin de réponse. »

« Check in was really messy. We arrived a bit early, but they used around 15min just to find our bookings, then they used another 10min to find out if some rooms where ready, in the end we just left to go for lunch another place to give them time to sort out some rooms. When we came back 1h45min later they had still not found us some rooms. Took another 20mins for them to check us in! By which time we had just 10mins for the 3 of us to get a shower and go to the airport to do the helicopter trip...

« The property was affordable and convenient for our families needs. Was surprised that there was no shower but managed ok with a bath. It was difficult at first to find the property off the main road as there was no signage. Other than that it was good. »

« We arrived at the Rivernest Boutique Cottages, and were told that they had been overbooked (though we had booked online several months prior) and that we were to be moved. We were sent to a different hotel a few minutes drive away, and given a room. The hotel we were re-booked at was cheaper than Rivernest, and we did not receive a credit or a refund of any kind. We had heard good things about this place, but unfortunately got to experience none of them. Good luck! »

« let’s start from the negative - the name is totally misleading; we thought we were booking Camp Xakanaka which is a beautiful lodge in the Okavango delta where instead from Camp Xakanaka Mobile we ended receiving a mobile tents tour from Temogosafari that did not even ever stopped in Xakanaka…I believe Expedia should ensure better information; for a mobile tour they are not so cheap either.
