'we had a wonderful week at the lodge : everything you need to cook is there,the fridge is big there are 2 bathrooms which is easy one with shower one with bath there is a good Bose music installation with plenty of CD's the weather was outstanding so we could sit outside to enjoy our drinks you can easily visit most places in the Lake District from the lodge we truly recommend this lodge Ludo and Christine from Belgium'

'Finding the property was easy from the information we were provided. The lodge was warm and cozy, just what we needed with the weather being so bad. The wine cooler was excellent! Just what we needed for New Year's Eve celebrations. The beds were very comfortable.'

'We had an amazing week at Ullswater Cabin. The cabin itself was perfect for a week for a family of 4 with children aged 7 and 10. They loved the table tennis and pool facilities. The location of the cabin is great both on the site itself and within the lakes. We didn’t need to drive for more than 20 minutes to go anywhere (we could have if we wanted to but didn’t need to) and fitted so much into one week. Would definitely recommend. '

'Lodge is set in a great location on the park with great views from the outside decking. The sofa in the lodge could do with replacing as there is a smell coming from it. The listing advised a smart TV in the lodge but this was a freeview TV so no netflix , Amazon TV etc. Overall we had a great stay and would return but would be nice to have a upto date TV & new sofa.'

'Very clean and tidy, perhaps a little dated but the hot tub more than made up for it. Stress and hassle free the check in process was easy. The site is very well maintained making it an all round relaxed and very enjoyable stay.'

'Fantastic location in a very picturesque setting with a lovely little river flowing across the bottom of the field. The Shepherds hut was spotless with home made cakes an eggs supplied by the owner. The only thing that spoiled it for us was the chemical toilet smell that seemed to linger around the hut and we had to burn a lavender candle (provided ) to take it away. Not sure if it is normal for it to smell strongly but looking at previous reviews , probably not. '

'The location is just outstanding. If you like hiking you can start right off your doorstep, on the foot of the great Skiddaw. The sheep greeted me in the morning and the view toward Derwent Water is lovely. '
