'It appears to be recently refurbished and looks pretty modern. Though we cannot comment on the property as a whole, the rooms facing the road suffer with road noise (easily sorted with some white noise). The bed was very comfortable and the shower was hot and had good pressure. The breakfast was mediocre but had the essentials. Parking is limited on a first come first serve basis and you may find yourself parking on the off street parking nearby. Totally adequate for 1 or 2 night stay. '

'Good hotel, excellent location in New Plymouth. Good rooms with good bath (whirlpool).'

'The property is starting to show its age in places, but is excellent value. Can be a bit noisy in the hallways with doors banging and guests coming and going. The bed was a bit firm for my taste, but great selection of pillows and quality bedding. Opening windows helped let the breeze in, which offset the slight mustiness. Newish heat pumps and updated lighting. Lovely staff. '
