We stayed here for one night, although we had booked for two. The rental just wasn't clean and we felt grossed out and left after the event we were in town for. I didn't expect anything fancy, given the price of the rental and even saw the ugly water heater in the kitchen in the pictures, so that wasn't a big deal. I also read that there was street noise, so that wasn't shocking, although it was very loud as the street is extremely busy and it's a very old building. It was the lack of basic cleaning that bothered us. There was dirt on the floors, black fingerprints and smudges on light switches, hairs on stuff in the bathroom, as well as mold on the shower curtain and dog hair on the sofa. I was glad to not have to pay a big pet or cleaning fee myself, but when I got there, I saw why. There was also garbage on the front porch, not that you would sit out there anyway. There is a reason that there aren't pictures of the actual outside. It's pretty rundown looking. I wasn't familiar with the area so when I arrived at night I really didn't get the impression that It was secure or safe. The host did message me back right away and apologized for the cleaning complaint and assured me the area was safe. She failed to respond when I messaged that we checked out after the first night. My husband refused to take a second shower there. It just was not a comfortable place to be. It did seem like a bit of an unfinished project. I hope more improvements are made.
