'Cabbiavoli was the gathering place for our two week celebration with family and friends for my husband’s retirement. We were within an hour of every place we wanted to visit (Florence, Siena, Piza, Volterra) and even got to do the Cinque Terre hike, albeit a long day but so worth the two hour drive time! The train being so close made all excursions possible. Wineries are very close and within driving distance. Cabbiavoli itself is loaded with history and its grounds and views are breathtaking....

'We stayed for three nights and really enjoyed our stay. There were things that could have been improved on… For example, there was nowhere to get breakfast or lunch. The nearest town is a good little hike down a hill and back up with groceries so having a car is a must. We used the local bus line and it was inconvenient. 'Although the castle looks nice from the outside, our apartment was dark and dirty. There was mould in the bathrooms, some lights did not work and everything looked as if it hadn' been cleaned for a while. We felt very uncomfortable in our apartment and cannot recommend it.'

'Surrounding is nice but coming to the apartment - disappointment. Spacious place but poorly maintained, grounds as well as bathrooms were not clean. Plenty of dead moskitos covered the walls additionally. Mold in the bathrooms and strange stains. There were doors instead of windows and no fly screens at all. 'Alles so wie angegeben. Restaurant war mega lecker wenn auch etwas teuer. Die Wohnung hätte sauberer sein können. Außerdem hatten wir ein relativ großes mückenproblem da die Fenster auch wenn sie zu sind nicht wirklich zu sind. Alles in allem aber trotzdem eine tolle Ferienwohnung neben dem wirklich schön gelegenen Schloss'
