'We received a heartly warm welcome by Lisa and Andy on arrival. The ‘petit maison’ is next door to their house, but has all the privacy with its own driveway, shed and garden. The house is as complete as can be, Lisa has it all organized very well and managed to give the house a homely feel. Especially when you, like us, arenot so very lucky with the weather and are forced to stay inn most of the time. We haven’t been able to enjoy the lake so much, but it must be wonderful to have a picknick...

'Wij, m'n man en ik, hebben genoten van ons verblijf in Mazerolles. De golfbaan in de buurt was geweldig en het zwembad bij ons huisje was heerlijk. Veel leuke tips over de omgeving en restaurants gekregen waar we dankbaar gebruik van hebben gemaakt. We komen graag nog een keer terug bij Maggie en Alan.'

Een buitenzwembad en een verwarmd zwembad

'Nous avons passé une semaine au mois d’août dans le gîte. Très bon accueil par les propriétaires. Grande piscine (chauffée jusqu’à 25 degrés, ce qui peut être juste pour les enfants en bas âge). Grand jardin entièrement clos. Le mobilier extérieur est très bien mais celui de l’intérieur pourrait être amélioré (literie et robinetterie des salles de bain). Présence de rongeur à l’intérieur de la maison au début de notre séjour.'

'Le lieu est magnifique mais les infrastructures ne sont pas au niveau. Les équipement de la maison sont en mauvais état, lampes non fonctionnelles, spot de sdb cassé, rideau de douche avec moisissures, poêles teflon usées….il y a une belle piscine très sale et le liner est mort, la piscine fuit donc rechargée 24/24 donc l’eau est glaciale, les transats sont usés donc inconfortables. Nous n’avons pas testé le retaurant…. La salle de billard est dans son jus comme la table . L’endroit pourrait...

'We’ve had a wonderful week at the cottage. The house is perfect, stays nice and cool and has a wonderful garden with a pool. It was everything we needed. The hospitality and service of the owners was heartwarming. What we missed were nice restaurants in the neighbourhood and things to do with little children. This has nothing to do with the cottage though. '

'De ontvangst door de gastheer was uiterst vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Elke morgen vers brood op aanvraag. Het is even wennen dat het huis zich in the middle of nowhere bevindt, maar het huis zelf compenseert dit meer dan voldoende. Inrichting zeer praktisch en volledig, aan alles werd gedacht. Iedereen was zeer tevreden!'

'Communication difficile avec les propriétaires (même en Anglais) literie très confortable, chauffage un peu limite vu la taille des pièces, pas de baby foot, très beau parc, accès restaurant limité à 2 soirs par semaine, non précisé sur offre, fuite sur la machine à laver, pas d'aspirateur, il a fallu demander un balai. Location convenable sûrement encore plus agréable en été. Très bien pour l'espace pour les enfants.'

'Great communication throughout. House absolutely gorgeous. Plenty of storage for husbands fishing tackle. Has everything you need plus more if you have younger children. Didn't get to use the pool unfortunately due to bad weather. ☹️ View from gbreathtaking. '

'Zeer gastvrije, persoonlijke ontvangst in prachtige gite, zeer compleet en ruim, gelegen in landelijke, bosrijke omgeving. Aanrader!'

'Nadia, nous a très bien accueillis, Le lieu est typique du Périgord vert ; le gîte permet de profiter de par sa situation géographique de nombreux endroits incontournables (étang, la forêt…) À noter également que Nadia nous a donné de précieux conseils afin de profiter de bonnes tables qui offrent des produits de grande qualité et authentiques Le gîte est agencé avec goût et on a vite fait de se sentir comme chez soi Merci encore Philippe et Valerie '

'We stayed with our 3 sons (15, 18 and 22) and our dog for a week and had a great time. There is a lot to do.'

'It was lovely! Karyn is a friendly host and the house is cozy and spacious. But the real highlights are outside. A lovely pool surrounded by beautiful plants and a large garden to walk, play or just sit in.'

'Nous avons passé 4 nuits en famille dans cette charmante maison. A notre arrivée, nous avons été accueillis par les propriétaires qui nous ont donné toutes les informations nécessaires. Le logement était propre, chaleureux et très bien équipé. Les chambres et les salles de bains étaient spacieuses. La maison est bien située avec plein d'activités à quelques minutes de voiture (randonnées, château, villages,...). Nous reviendrons avec plaisir.'

'Un lieu unique, plein de charme ! Une vieille maison dans son jus, des meubles et des décos parfaitement adaptés, de l'espace et cette pelouse au bord de l'eau !!! Si vous aimez le moderne dépouillé, passez votre chemin. Si vous cherchez un lieu avec une âme, c'est ici ! Simon est un hôte généreux et attentif.'

'Heerlijk om even overal ver vandaan te zijn; even niets. Mooi gerestaureerd huis met net iets te veel snuisterijen. Lekker krakende vloerdelen, houten luiken om de slaapkamer te verduisteren, maar ook comfortabel dubbel glas. De kat komt regelmatig een kopje geven. En natuurlijk de prachtige zwemvijver. De omgeving is groen, mooi maar ook een beetje saai. Op 5 km is een mooi zwemmeer met zandstrand, neem een bootje mee! Op 30 minuten is een kartbaan van 1100 meter. Meer hebben wij niet gedaan,...

A petit maison with everything you need

"We received a heartly warm welcome by Lisa and Andy on arrival. The ‘petit maison’ is next door to their house, but has all the privacy with its own driveway, shed and garden. The house is as complete as can be, Lisa has it all organized very well and managed to give the house a homely feel. Especially when you, like us, arenot so very lucky with the weather and are forced to stay inn most of the time. We haven’t been able to enjoy the lake so much, but it must be wonderful to have a picknick there. And ofcourse all the gear for a picnic is ready for use. All you want to know about the surroundings is there in folders. In all we enjoyed our stay and managed to catch up with some reading by the fire with a good glass of wine."

Relax and unwind

"What an amazing, peacefull, beautiful place to spend a summer holiday. You can really relax and unwind, if you like fishing this is a great spot. The kids had an amazing time on the sup board in the lake or went in for a cooling down in the swimming pool. The house is charming and still have authentic elements with a modern touch. There are three large bedrooms with more than enough space. The owners are very kind and helpfull, they have given us many usefull tips and information of places to visit, thank you so much. We had one of our best summer holidays."

Wonderfull house, beautifull surroundings.

"We enjoyed two wonderfull weeks in this lovely house. The house has a private pool and from the garden you look out over a valley. We regularly saw rabbits, foxes and deer. There is plenty to do in the area. The owners are friendly and helpful."
