« Absolutely lovely in every way. I go to the Royal Exeter once a month and I feel as if I am returning home each time: from the lovely personal welcome from the reception staff, the comfort of the bed and the linen quality (far superior to some higher rated hotels locally) and the fab breakfast. The super secure parking is another bonus. Can’t wait to be back! »

« I was looking for a hotel with an indoor swimming pool, a room with a sea view, close to the city centre and within 130£. And I found the Cumberland. The indoor swimming pool is in the hotel next door ( Suncliff). The staff and the management were brilliant. Always helpful and friendly at all stages. The breakfast starts at 7 am and was quite comfortable. The restaurant and the bar are very cosy. The only negative part is that the walls between rooms are very thin but… the clientele was good...
