Cabane en rondins dans les bois

Notre chalet est sur 11 acres, mais nous n'avons qu'un seul voisin en été seulement. La cabane est sur le côté d'une montagne privée à une altitude de 1300 pieds, donc il y a une montagne entière pour faire de la randonnée ou de la raquette (toutes les tailles disponibles pour votre usage). Notre porche surplombe un ruisseau qui passe juste à côté de la maison qui fonctionne toute l'année. Parce qu'il est distant, le service de téléphonie cellulaire est irrégulier dans la cabine, mais vous pouvez utiliser les appels WIFI ou la ligne terrestre, nous avons la télévision par satellite et une télévision intelligente si vous avez des abonnements Netflix / Amazon Prime / HULU, etc. Il y a aussi des traîneaux, des raquettes et des tubes à neige.

La cabane est à 10 minutes du magasin général de Sherman, des grandes maisons sucrières (fin de semaine du sirop d'érable fin mars) et des fermes artisanales et laitières (il y a un week-end de fromage au Vermont et les fermes laitières proposent des visites). En 20 minutes, vous pouvez vous rendre à Manchester (18 miles), Bromley Mountain est à 25 miles, le Norman Rockwell Homestead à Arlington et un autre grand magasin général sont à environ 15-20 minutes. Dans le Dorset, il y a une grande carrière de marbre pour la baignade; environ 15-20 minutes.

Saratoga Springs est à environ 35-40 miles et le trajet n'est pas mauvais si vous voulez voir les courses de chevaux ou aller aux bains minéraux.

Il y a tous les types de jeux de société et une table de billard au niveau inférieur. Il y a aussi une buanderie au niveau inférieur.

La chambre au niveau principal a un lit queen, la chambre du niveau inférieur a deux lits jumeaux et les chambres à l'étage ont 4 lits jumeaux dans chacune mais peuvent accueillir confortablement deux adultes dans chacune. Parce que nous sommes sur le flanc d'une montagne, le niveau inférieur est une sortie et la chambre a une fenêtre.

Peaceful Mountain Retreat
WOW! When we arrived we were immediately taken back by the incredible setting of this log home. The owner makes it very easy for arrival, with lots of notes and information about the home and the area. It was nice to sit and read the lovely notes that previous guests had left for them. The home is very clean and inviting, instantly putting our minds at ease. We had expected it to be a bit more rustic, but they have literally thought of everything to make their guests more comfortable, and the kitchen is very well appointed. Our favorite spot was the screened in porch off the living room. We found ourselves there each time we were at the house, as the creek that runs past was soothing and relaxing. You could simply feel the stress of life disappear at this home. There is a little country store not far up the road that is so adorable, and this home is very convenient to Dorset, must eat at the Dorset Inn, and Manchester Village. There were three of us, and we each took a bed on our own separate floors. We especially loved the shower in the bottom floor, as the entire bathroom is tiled as the shower. The house is full of games, a pool table, and a wood burning fireplace, none of which we had time for, as our visit was far too brief. We have all agreed that we need to book our next Vermont trip soon, and hope that Steve and Nancy will have us back, but next time we must stay longer to get to enjoy more of their home. Thank you again for a memory that will last a lifetime.

Cabin in the woods
This was our 2nd year staying at the cabin. The owner, Steve, was readily available and contacted us to make sure all was good. There was ample firewood and the fireplace is excellent. If you wanna shoot some pool or throw darts, etc. this is the cabin to be in. The kitchen is well stocked. This is a good home base as it’s close to Mt. Snow, for snowmobiling, a few resorts for skiing and any other outdoor activity you’d like to do. If shopping is your forte, Dorset and Manchester are close by. We look forward to visiting Vermont ext year.

If i could gi e a 10/10 i would. Our family had an amzing time at the cabin. It was clean, well appointed, stocked and made us all feel right at home. The host was very available andeered all our questions. And gave us lots of onstruction. We didnt read all and had quite the adventure getting up to the cabin. You MUST have awd/4x4 driving capability if its snowy.

Log Cabin in the Woods - Vermont
Very nice place and enjoyed our stay. We mostly cooked in for our dinners which is a nice feature, food allergy issues. Weather was cool how we like it though a bit rainy. The stream was so relaxing while sitting on porch and could do our morning Self-Reiki. Fireplace was awesome and enjoyed very much. Wish there was more history about the place and land it is on. Maybe next time lookup a more in-depth about the history of the area. Forgot to mention I am sensitive to smells so laundry detergent with scents is no-no for me.I would recommend people to stay here it is secluded though we didn't find that a hindrance.

Very nice out of the way location. Very secluded but easy to find. Lots of room especially for a couple. Screened porch was very relaxing. Loved that firewood was available for the working fireplace. I would recommend this location!

Cozy cabin in a beautiful place
Very cute cabin in one of the prettiest areas of the country. The hosts were very nice and shared detailed instructions as well as recommendations for the area. We had a lovely time, unplugged, and explore the surrounding countryside and towns. Thank you!

Steven , the cabin and property were all great. We learned a lot about the region on this trip. If not from around the area do some research for the area. Map/atlas would be useful. The phone service for trying to do anything spontaneous on the move including eating out was frustrating.

6 out of 5 stars - we loved this cabin
We had a *super* time at this cabin. Very secluded, a small trail right out the back door, lots of trails a close drive away, and a perfect, cozy space to spend time together when it's raining or you need a break. We came for our honeymoon, and enjoyed sipping tea on the porch as the brook went by, reading by the fire at night, and enjoying the outdoors during the day. The kitchen is very well stocked; there was nothing we needed but couldn't find. Overall it's clear this is a loved and well thought out home - not just a place to rent - that is a joy to stay in. You could in theory have a lot of people stay here, but it's great for 2, as you don't need to use the upstairs or downstairs space with all of the twins at all.

Easy to get into, it was secluded and off the beaten path, yet close to skiing, shopping and many wonderful old general stores. The bedrooms were comfortable and roomy. The kitchen was well stocked. A great fireplace. Steven did check in with us to make sure everything was going well and if we had any questions. The property outside is great from the stream running through the property to the small waterfall you can hear throughout the day and evening. The place is very close to all the maple syrup making. Highly recommend checking out the Mountain Valley Maple Farm in West Rupert, which is about 5-10 minutes away. Would highly recommend this home to anyone taking a trip to southern Vermont. Thank you Stephen and Nancy for allowing us to stay in your wonderful home. Hope to stay again in the future.

Well-Loved Cabin in a Peaceful Location
Overall great stay! We used the fireplace every night and had plenty of wood the entire time. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and the place was well kept. Lighting in the cabin gets a little dark at night (especially if cooking), but it adds to the cozy atmosphere if you’re just relaxing. We did find a used Q-tip on the bed when we arrived, but outside of that, the cabin was clean. We would recommend this place for anyone who wants a nice relaxing stay away from the loud responsibilities of everyday life.

Christmas Vacation
The Spirito family cabin felt like ours for the week. It was fully equipped with anything and everything you need. So many beds, so many games, so many memories made on this trip. Beautiful piece of property with lots of quaint towns to explore near by. The NY border is just minutes away which made it fun for our kids to check another state on the vacation list. And total added bonus for hiking enthusiasts, the AT trail is right up the block. We saw trail heads all over the place for it. Super cool. Thank you for sharing this gem with us. Much appreciated.

Quiet Vacation - Enjoyable
Property gave us what we wanted, a quiet vacation in the woods of Vermont for 2 retired couples. Screened in porch was perfect for sitting around after dinner. A few nice restaurants a short drive away with no traffic to contend with. Cabin was supplied with everything we could need for our stay. The host was a pleasure to work with, providing much information prior to our arrival and checking in with us after we settled in to be sure all was well. Would not hesitate to return to this Cabin when we decide it's time to return to Vermont. Thanks Steve for a very nice place

We loved this cabin at first sight and came to love it even more over the course of our 10 night stay. I tend to be quite attuned to the visual appeal of my surroundings, and this place is very nicely orchestrated in terms of decor. I really appreciated that the lighting in various rooms can be adjusted to suit ones mood and the task at hand. The kitchen is well equipped for serious cooking. The screened-in-porch is a dream come true, with the sound of the creek below and a view filled with nothing but trees. I was at the cabin with my husband and adult daughter but I wished I had children along -- the upstairs bedrooms would be such fun for kids. As it was, we enjoyed playing pool, taking hikes, playing board games, and exploring Mount Equinox and the lovely town of Dorset nearby. We'll remember this vacation as thoroughly relaxing in a beautiful place.

Was great to be away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. So peaceful and charming. We enjoyed the nightly fire in the fireplace. The cabin contained everything needed for the stay. We enjoyed the hike up the hill next to brook.

Wonderful secluded cabin
My husband & I rented this cabin for our 10 year anniversary and enjoyed the peace, quiet & beauty of the cabin and surrounding area. The queen bed was comfortable, the cabin is cozy and is well equipped with toaster, microwave, coffee maker, full stove, and many dishes. Though we only reheated our meals and didn’t do any cooking, I could have cooked in this kitchen. We took advantage of the snow shoes they have in the garage & went for a long hike in them. Although we only had enough firewood for the first night of our stay, Steve stayed in contact with us trying to get someone to deliver more. Ultimately he kindly offered us a credit for not having more wood at the house. The lack of wood wasn’t much of an issue for us since the place is well heated & we were there to enjoy the time together more than anything. I would definitely stay here again & would recommend it to others without hesitation!

Quiet winter getaway for busy family
As a family looking for an off the grid close to home mini vacation, this property was was perfect. It was comfortable and accommodating for our needs. Home owner thought of just about everything you would need to make your stay enjoyable and stress free. Definitely would consider a return visit.
