'Na de 2 grote steden was hij tijd om af te reizen naar Bird-in-Hand. Wat een mooi verblijf om even tot rust te komen. Het huis was zeer schoon, ruim en van alle gemakken voorzien. De heerlijke cupcakes waren onderweg. De gastvrouw verstaat haar vak. De kinderen hebben genoten van de honden.'

'This cozy apartment is a peaceful retreat. The host was very welcoming, even leaving homemade bread and jam for breakfast. I would suggest bringing a laptop as there is no television. It is out in the country but just minutes away from many attractions. This getaway was what we needed to completely relax'

'We've stayed at Swallow's Rest often and it never fails to charm us all over again. It's well situated but feels like the country with the farm smells, the rolling grass. Everything we need is included in the place. And we like the host a lot.'

'The location is outside of the hustle and bustle of the touristy area. It gives you the opportunity to go see the Amish and not get caught in a tourist environment. This is the only VRBO we’ve ever stayed at that had a gas fireplace we could use. After a windy day seeing the sights it was nice to go back and nap by the fireplace. The host communicates with you easily and gives you all the privacy you could ever want. Check in and check out was effortless. We will stay again '

"We arrived less than an hour before the official check-in. With all our luggage. The room was not ready, ok. But we could not leave our luggage behind for the remaining 45 minutes. So everything back in the car… Breakfast offers enough options and is fine. Dinner and shopping options at the doorstep, very convinient. Clean room. We got a room facing Hwy 30, which turned out to be quote noisy. A large a/c or generator grille next to the window did the rest. Off course we could have asked for another room, but when you already have settled after a long day travel, not so fine. So all together, we think it is over-rated and overpriced. Not a bad hotel, but room for improvement. "
