'My stay at Masseria Santo Scalone was nothing short of magical. Nestled in the serene Italian countryside, this masseria offers an incredible combination of rustic charm and modern comfort. 'When choosing agriturismo in Italy we always look for nice places to stay and where we can have dinner. Borgo San Marco is a wonderful place to stay, but an awfull place to have dinner. To start positive; the location is splendid, the rooms are comfortable, the breakfast is very good, the people are very friendly. But the dinner, a set menu, is completely the opposite. Simple, badly cooked dishes at a very high price. A few examples; Asperges that are overcooked, spaghetti that has to be done...

'This was a beautiful site, with friendly staff and comfortable accommodations. The only things I would recommend changing are the mattresses, which were firm but futons and didn't provide great support. Investing in good thick mattresses would make a huge difference. And I would also add a nice scent to the linens as everything smelled very strongly of vinegar, which we understand is used to disinfect ecologically. But a bit of lavender or lemon essence would dramatically improve the scent.'
