« Hotel very clean and freshly painted. Great view of the sea. Our room was clean and modern but noisy as next to the bar and water evacuation pipes just next to our bed. Probably got the hotels.com room. Breakfast booked for 9 am - very good but service disorganised. »

« Nice hotel, very quiet surroundings. Great amenities (pool, spa). Large and comfortable rooms. Vast choices at the breakfast buffet. »

« If you are someone who wants to walk around a busy village, here may not be the best place for you however many places like alnwick centre are only at 20 minute drive. the rest of the property as immaculate as well as the service we experienced. »

« Lovely, hotel i paid to upgrade the room to a king size bed. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was great. Only niggle is the bathroom, there was a crack in the sink and the bath had a lot of mildew on the silicon. The pool is quite small but very clean. I would stay there again. »

« Had a lovely short break at the Cottage Inn, excellent location within walking distance of Craster and in a central position on the Northumberland Coast. Good base for anyone travelling in the area. The hotel has a real "pub feel" to it which we enjoyed as the locals were in the bar each evening which made a good atmosphere. Will certainly return »

« Second time we’ve stayed here and it’s just lovely. Warm and welcoming, lovely staff and rooms are very well kitted out. The food is really excellent and breakfast was particularly well organised with a wide choice of food all of which was first rate. We love it here and we will definitely be back. »

« The views across the bay from our room were terrific, the food was good, room was spotless and comfortable, ensuite modern. What really made our stay though was the friendliness and helpfulness of the hard working staff. »

« Lovely pub with rooms. Friendly staff, big and comfortable rooms with nice decor (quite recently redecorated by the look of it), good bathroom, excellent breakfasts! Perfect spot for a stay in Rothbury. »
