'The place was gorgeous and had a lovely cosy feel. Comfortable bed and great amenities. Unfortunately the walls were so thin that we could hear everything the couple next door to us were saying and doing. The staff helped in every way they could which was lovely but unfortunately made things a bit uncomfortable. The only other issue is when you use the bathroom at night, the light lights up the entire bedroom as well. Otherwise fantastic place.'

'We loved our time at this property - just what we needed! A beautiful view, quiet surrounds and very close to lots do do in the area. All we needed was provided and it was a wonderful winter weekend to sit in front of the fire and relax. A beautiful spot and Heather was a wonderful host. We hope to be back!'

'The layout and furnishings are basic and definitely not worth $229/night. The hot water ran out after 5 minutes, so that was pooh. Of the dozens of BNB stays, this was the only one that we felt ripped off by and think a $100 should be refunded. 😠'

'We absolutely loved our stay, everything was clean and well maintained. We stayed as 2 adults, 2 kids and our dog and the place was a great size with an even better backyard including chicken coop that the kids adored. 'The motel rooms on the ground floor were sufficiently shield by the hotel building so we heard no traffic noise. The beds were comfortuable and we slept well. It has a microwave, toaster and fridge with the makings for breakfast at hand. One minor downside is that there is no formal office. So. you need to call someone to check-in to your room. Similarly on checkout, you just leave the keys in your room and shut the door.'

'Lovely property, renovated (but not "restored") to high standard but modern electricals (great wifi, TV) and kitchen/baths. Spacious home, multiple eating areas, quiet street, and with a terrific host. Maldon is a charming small town and well-located to see the goldfields area. Only downside is there are only a couple of places in the town proper to dine out (Castlemaine is close). But a great place with all creature comforts.'
