'The location of the hotel is very nice and somewhat remote. The hotel has its own private bay with beach. The sea is very wild, not wild enough to surf but dangerous to swim in! Last week someone drowned here. We spoke to a number of local people and these indicated that people drowned here regularly. The Hotel is built against a mountain, not suitable for less-abled people. There is no communal pool available. Please note when you're booking a room. We booked a room in low season without a pool...

'Loved my stay as a solo traveler at Costa Oeste. Quiet area around Santana Beach. Very chilled out. Room was comfy, AC was cold, food was good, staff was great — and the best sunsets. Location was very walkable with two markets and a handful of restaurants nearby. Enough friendly travelers around when you want a chat, but not so many it feels overrun. Perfect spot for a beach escape.'
