'Great stay, love this little retreat! There are groups of kids but we had no issues and had no one walk past the solitude cabin. Has electricity and a outhouse. This is a wooded area so expect bugs and everything else that goes with nature. Check in was literally you just grab a cart and walk to your cabin, there is no formal check in. Also solitude does not have phone reception, so prepare for that as well if you are someone who needs it. when you'

'The host is excellent and accommodating. The property was cute and the description was accurate. The property was very well done and located close to town. The only complaint which has nothing to do with the host is the proximity to the fright train. It runs all day and all night and sounds the horn since it is located near a railroad crossing. '

'We enjoyed the spacious bathrooms and living areas in this home five minutes from beautiful Amnicon Falls. A large deck with beautiful woodland view and huge mowed lawn would be fun for family gathering. Kitchen was our favorite hangout place. Bonus was the working piano and air hockey downstairs. Some updating is needed to downstairs bath fixtures. Host Rae Ann was very responsive and kind.'

'This was a great property for large family sizes. We had young kids 1-4 years old and we all had a blast. The kids loved the large space to play. The many bedrooms made it easy for a quiet nap place. The large kitchen and living room was perfect for accommodating our group. 'The property is very nice, lake is very quiet. Very relaxing week. We ventured to Amnicon Falls State Park and Pattison State Park for hiking. Did a 12 mile kayak trip on Brule river and went to Duluth for a day. All are eady drives from the house.'

'Upsides: close to trails, close to gas station and great restaurant! Had shampoo and conditioner and laundry soap and q tips! Left plenty of toilet paper and had code entry so we didn’t have to worry about losing a key! Downside: no central air, had one bedroom window unit and another unit in the living room upstairs that couldn’t be moved. We had to run them on high the entire time to keep the place cool. We had 6 adults but only 3 coffee cups so only half of us could drink coffee at one time.'
