B&B in Wassaw National Wildlife Refuge

'Property changed hand weeks ago and new manager didn’t feel it was necessary to inform customers that booked the property because of the several amenities they no longer offered. Their model is completely flawed as only 1 person works everything so even if you want to change the temperature in your room, you text or call to have them do it at the desk. No one answered!! TV complicated and didn’t work. Loading dock in back in a dirty alley. Parking 1.5 blocks away and also dirty and unkept. ...

'I had a wonderful time here. I am gluten free, and the staff made a trip to the store to make me a special breakfast. The room was quiet, clean, and full of unique touches. The staff was incredibly kind. And just a 4 minute walk to the shops and bars. True, there was no designated parking, but I went on St Patrick’s weekend and had no trouble finding a descent spot. '

'Bij aankomst werden we heel vriendelijk te woord gestaan door iemand met de echte "Southern hospitality". Wat voelden we ons gelijk welkom in dit heerlijke, oud maar heel sfeervolle hotel in Savannah Georgia. Echt een aanrader. S'avond op het buiten balkon samen met wat andere gasten genieten van de avond op een schommelstoel onder het genot van een drankje. En de volgende ochtend een heerlijk ontbijt voorgeschoteld krijgen, Dit hotel is echt een pareltje en ook nog op loopstand van het centrum...

'We boekten voor één nacht een eenvoudige binnentuin-kamer, en die beviel ons prima: net voldoende ruim, en op de hoogste verdieping ook veel licht en aangenaam uitzicht. Grootste pluspunten zijn echter de uitstekende ligging (op één van de beste plekjes in dit gezellige stadje), en de heel aangename babbel met andere koppels bij de gratis aangeboden hapjes, wijn en dessert 's avonds. '

The post Civil War mansion has oodles of historic charm with just enough updates for the modern traveler. Streaming service TV, fast internet and even a charming swimming pool for use during hot weather. The most engaging aspect is the Staff. 'Very welcoming, small inn with accommodating staff. The included breakfast was excellent. However, being an historic building, expect a bit more extraneous noise from other rooms and staff. And those with mobility issues should call the hotel before booking. Most, if not all, rooms require climbing stairs. Parking can also be an issue, as the hotel has no parking lot and you must park along the street.'
