Great place in a great setting
This is a wonderful place, basically two large spaces with the bedroom/bathroom/sitting area toward the front, with a view of Fishhook Lake - oh and also a balcony. In the rear is the kitchen and another seating area with a different kind of great view, the quiet trees of the property's large acreage. Very private and very quiet.

Quick Getaway
My husband and I had a day and a half off and wanted to spend some quiet time exploring lakes in the area. This was the perfect spot. Liz made everything so easy and the property was beautiful. They thought of everything you might need in the suite. Highly recommend!

The property on the lake was amazing. Liz was very communicative and friendly. The views of the lake and lakefront property were gorgeous. Kayaking was wonderful. The bed was super comfortable, and the place was very clean. If going to the park Rapids area, would stay there again.

It's a nice quiet getaway for two. Liz and Phil are awesome. The lake is pretty quiet and it's nice to go into town quickly to get what you need and go out to eat if you want! Nice biking, etc.

Wonderful time at the lake
Every time I’ve stayed at this beautiful property I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the comfortable, peaceful accommodations in the woods with gorgeous views of the lake. Don’t miss the amazing sunsets! It’s a great spot to swim, kayak, fish or just relax in the hammock. Liz and Phil are incredible people & hosts who truly take great care of their guests. They go above & beyond to ensure their guests are enjoying the property & the area’s activities and to resolve any issue that may arise. After spending a wonderful two weeks at this property, I left not only feeling pampered and rested, I left feeling blessed that I now call Liz & Phil my friends. I look forward to next year!

Quiet and beautiful getaway
This is an amazing find for my wife and me. Even though it is just outside of city limits, when you turn onto the last road to get there you are immediately amongst a forest and it feels like you have escaped into the middle of a forest. The private room above the garage was great and the view from the deck was quite divine. The owners are very mindful of guests and weren’t opening and closing the garage doors more than a couple of times. The lake itself was also beautiful and clear with a sandy bottom and very few weeds. We enjoyed floating in the lake and appreciated being able to utilize their kayaks for a nice row along the shore. We truly felt like guests at their lake place, which is what we were looking for during our vacation.

A true gem
My husband and I LOVE Liz and Phil’s beautiful guest house. Their property is gorgeous, and the grounds are so well maintained. They provided everything we could have wanted or needed, and the place was so clean and so nicely decorated. We will be back!

Amazing location
We did self check in since Liz was out when we arrive. She checked in with us later. Everything was set up perfect for us. Lights was left on and coffee station was stocked. This location has amazing views of the trees and the kayaks that you can use is a nice extra. Extra towels and everything is there. Lying in bed looking at the lake is a plus. Its close to town and beeing on the lake you get amazing sun sets. Looking forward to staying there again as soon as possible. Thanks Liz for a great weekend.

Great accommodations close to Lake Itasca State Park
Liz and Phil are terrific hosts. Eagles Loft is a really nice unit with a full kitchen. The unit is exactly as described and shown. We were able to prepare all of our meals during our one week stay. Liz and Phil were available for any questions we had. They were "on call", but allowed us complete privacy. We made daily trips to Lake Itasca State Park for kayaking, hiking, and bicycling. Very pleasant stay and we can recommend highly.

Ideal lakeside retreat!
Absolutely beautiful grounds, pristine accommodations, and super friendly hosts. This was absolutely the best place that we’ve stayed. We would definitely think about returning and highly recommend Wildwood and Liz. We had a great time fishing in the extremely clean lake and watching the beautiful sunsets from the lovely dock. Nature also abounds with the eagles , loons, and woodpeckers.
