'Hotel is typical standard 3-4 star motel with everything you need. Functional, not very romantic. Connections to Wellington are great, 10 mins by car, hotel is only 600 meters away from railway station Petone which also takes you in 15 mins to Wellington ($10 per person back and forth). Pac & Save and fast food nearby. '

This property is on a moderately steep hill so the flat parking areas are limited on the property. The rooms are also on different levels on the hill accessed by stairs. 'Have stayed here twice now with 2 kids. The rooms have been immaculate! they accomodate for my 1 yr old with a cot, sheets and blankets. My 8yr old daughter loves that they have sky tv and the gummy lollies in our room on arrival. Staff are very helpful. Enjoyed our stay with Totara Lodge and will definitely be back. Thank you :-)'
