'Hubby and I wanted a cute getaway for thanksgiving weekend, and this little cabin was perfect. Secluded but still close enough to civilization. The hot tub was wonderful. We unfortunately never got to use the fire pit - just a bit too cold out for us. Space is great. There is a pretty close neighbor, but it didn’t impact our stay at all, and we basically forgot the house was there. The road to the cabin is unpaved so 4WD is probably a good idea. Very cute place '

'This house is such a good use of space! We were a family of 8 and we fit perfect and even had an extra bed. The central space is nice to gather and the deck was lovely. This was a quick walk to the water and central to everything we wanted to do in the area. Heather was super responsive and wonderful to work with! We would absolutely stay again and recommend the property. '

'Quirky, spacious house with plenty of bedrooms and several kitchens/sinks with the in law apartment. Big table for eating and games by a wood stove. Game room is great for kids (and nerf gun battles). We were there in several snow and ice storms but managed to squeeze in some hot tub time. Communication with the property manager was excellent. '

'The hostess Cathleen was amazing…very responsive to questions, helpful, accommodating! The house was nice..the living space was smaller in real life than it seemed in pictures but still met our needs with no issues!! The bedrooms, bathrooms, floors were clean. The kitchen was fully stocked, though some of the utensils/ pans could be replaced. The kids enjoyed the downstairs which had a kid-sized pool table, a tv and plenty of games. We missed a tv in the general living room! The Hideout...

'We enjoyed this property. The house was clean and as described. We had fun with the arcade games and there was space for everyone to relax. The north gate entrance was closed and the detour made getting around a little difficult. Other than that, we had a great time.'

'When we arrived at Big Bear Chalet we couldn’t believe the spaciousness as well as cleanliness of this home. The description was spot on! Nothing was left out, every amenity listed was in the home and then some! We were a total of 6 adults, a toddler and a baby as well as my daughter’s beagle. Loved every moment and hope to be back next year. Even the weather didn’t deter us from having a good time. '
