'Very pleasant staff'

'We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful stately home. Bridget, Bas and all the other staff we met were charming, friendly and accommodating, including agreeing to bring forward our stay at almost no notice even though we had a fixed, non-refundable booking through hotels.com. This enabled us to visit just before coronavirus restrictions came into place and we had the place to ourselves most of the time. The cooked breakfast was very good. We stayed in a 2nd floor corner room with excellent...

'Nice comfortable room with adequate facilities in room. Not a lover of toilet brushes and the one in the bathroom was sitting in goodness knows what and noticed it as soon as entered the bathroom as the holder was clear - not nice. No tv remote in room and to be fair we didn’t request one during the stay as we got back late and didn’t notice until ready for bed and would have had to walk into the bar area! '

'Lovely place, hidden away in a 1980's residential area. The hosts are welcoming and the place was clean, and their marmalade was home made and fantastic!'

'Lots of on-site parking, easy walk into town, its bed only no breakfast but that was fine for us, oddly there was no one on site, access to the property was by emailed code which was tapped into the front door access panel, but that was OK for us, same with the rooms. The only staff member I saw and spoke to was the cleaner. '

'We stayed for one night en route to a week’s holiday in Cornwall. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful, making sure our stay was a good one. We had reserved a table for our evening meal (along with our dog) and thoroughly enjoyed the food.'
