'A lovely hotel which is very well located in Stamford, The Crown is near the main shopping street and many restaurants. It is also within walking distance of the Burghley estate. The rooms are beautifully decorated and very comfortable; our room faced out onto the street but the thick curtains ensured that we were not disturbed by the lights. 'The rooms come with the charm of an old building, so you will have improvise a little. But possible disappointment by entering the premises is immediately forgotten after meeting with the owner/hotelmanager and tasting the food he serves. He really cares about people and makes you soon feel at home. Value for price too!'

'If you are looking at this place, ask for the Harrod room. Kingsize bed and big bathroom with a stand alone roll top bath and separate shower. If you were a romantic couple, you wouldn’t leave this room. Comfortable Bar area and small restaurant with a full menu from Tuesday to Sunday. Pizza night on a Monday. Excellent parking. There is some road noise but it’s Ok. '
