'Overall nice property with actual beach access. Rooms and outdoor furnishings could use a refresh; one dining chair had ripped rattan backing and outdoor furniture was plastic and uncomfortable . Pools were nice and never too crowded. View of the water from room was beautiful. I probably would stay here again, it was a great value for a beachfront resort.'

'When we arrived at the hotel, the whole site smelled of sewage. The restaurant area, the grounds, the pool area. When we asked why they said the pipes had broke. But when we tried to get our monies back and leave there was no manager at the hotel. The desk person said the manager lives in Mexico. When even Expedia tried to get in touch with the hotel to get a refund for us they coudln't get an answer. '

'We have been staying at Grand Colony for years. The reason we keep returning is the convenience of walking down the beach to the dive shop, having a full size kitchen and individual bedrooms for everyone. There are no amenities to speak of. No restaurant, no bar, no spa, the beach chairs have seen better days but so has the beach. The sea grass is nothing Grand Colony can help but it does make the ocean unswimable.
